A message to our community regarding the coronavirus
The Wujek-Calcaterra Family prioritizes the health and well-being of our associates, guests and the entire community of which we serve. We understand this a fluid situation and are monitoring and evaluating developments of the coronavirus.
While there is so much to learn about this virus, our team members are well trained and prepared to deliver the professional services you need to honor and remember someone you have loved and lost. These services are being delivered in accordance with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control.
We and the State of Michigan still believe that gathering and supporting one another at a time of loss is important. The State of Michigan has exempted funerals from the public gathering ban; however, the CDC’s recommendation is no more than 50 in attendance at public gatherings. Out of respect to these guidelines and restrictions, we ask that funeral services be reserved solely for family.
To help address this developing public health concern, we have instituted specific cautionary measures outlines below to help lessen the spread of the virus:
- Increasing the frequency of deep cleaning our entire facility per CDC guidelines.
- Working with our families to adjust service times and following limitations to attendees as directed by state and local authorities.
We are committed to responsibly responding to the needs of the community we have the privilege to serve. Together we will continue to honor and remember life.
